ENGRAVING

What should I engrave on my medical ID jewelry?

When you are deciding what to have engraved on your medical alert jewelry, list what would be the most significant in case of an emergency. Examples might be: “Diabetic”, “Epilepsy”, or “Severe Peanut Allergy”.

It is critical to include the right information for medical responders, which is why custom engraving is so effective. We allow for 4 lines of engraving, however do keep in mind that the more characters and words per line, the smaller the lettering/wording will be.

Should I have my medications engraved on my medical IDs?

Many people have changing medications, however if your medications are long-term and could impact emergency treatment, it's a great idea to include them. If you are Diabetic, it may be important to list if you are either on Insulin or taking a pill form medication such as Metformin. Blood thinners are also useful medications to indicate.

Should I engrave my allergies onto my medical ID?

Definitely! For example, it's important to indicate if you have a PENICILLIN ALLERGY. If you have an allergy that needs an Epipen as a treatment, engrave both the name of the allergy, in addition to: “Use Epipen”.

Engraving Example:
YOUR NAME
MEDICAL CONDITION
ALLERGIES/TREATMENTS
EMERGENCY CONTACT

SIZING

Can I just measure the length of my old bracelet band and order that size?

Every bracelet design is unique and we determine what the best fit will be for that particular style. Please refer to the sizing instructions to determine what your size is. In most cases, we ask for your snug wrist measurement. Need measuring instructions? Check out our measuring guide for tips.

Quick Tip: You may own several different Beaded Daisy bracelets, but when they are all laid out flat together, they may differ in lengths. One of the reasons for this is because each design is unique, and there are factors such as the size of beads to accommodate. This is the reason we ask for your snug wrist measurement, so that we can endeavor to provide you with the best fit.

Can I just guess my wrist size?

We want to ensure you are able to enjoy wearing your medical alert jewelry right away, and want to make sure it fits comfortably. Even one inch either too big or too small can make a difference, so it's best not to guess.

How do I measure my wrist?

Use a soft measuring tape, such as cloth or vinyl. Start at the 0 (zero) and wrap around your wrist snuggly. Take note of what number is across from the 0 (zero). If you don’t have one of these measuring tapes, you can use a piece of string, ribbon, or even dental floss in a pinch, and then compare it to a ruler!

What size bracelet should I order?

We will custom size your bracelet for you based on your snug wrist measurement. That is why all you have to do is select your wrist measurement size on the product page. We will add the appropriate length to accommodate your wrist and provide you with a comfortable fit. These are the steps you need to take if you are ordering an Interchangeable style (NO medical ID Tag) as well.

My bracelet doesn’t fit, can I have it resized?

Exchange your unworn medical ID for a different size, in the same style, within 30 days. The only cost to you, will be for the return shipping and handling fee.

How do I send my item in to be resized?

1. Remove your medical ID tag, if it’s not affixed. Send in the bracelet portion only.
2. Print, fill out and send the Resize Services form.

GENERAL

Can I wear my medical ID in the pool or in the shower?

We carry many designs, made of various materials. Some medical alert jewelry are more appropriate and water-friendly than others. General hand washing is acceptable, but we recommend removing when showering/bathing. Sterling silver won’t tarnish as quickly when kept dry. Our Velcro & Dog Tag line of products are 100% waterproof and can be worn in the pool/hot tub.

What is an Interchangeable Bracelet?

What better way to keep your look fresh than by owning several designs? Depending on your mood or outfit, you can always feel confident that your important medical information is there, just in case there happens to be a medical emergency!

  • The Interchangeable Bracelet is a bracelet strand with a lobster clasp on each end.
  • Move your ID Tag around from one bracelet to another depending on your mood and outfit. One tag fits all!
  • You can add as many of our Interchangeable Bracelets as you’d like, without having to buy a new ID Tag every time.
  • If all you need is a new ID Tag because it needs an update, you can simply purchase a new ID Tag on its own, ready for use with your existing Interchangeable Bracelet strands.
